Human End is commonly known as an alias of Jensen, with the purpose of exceeding the boundaries of hardcore techno. This album has been released to some acclaim on CD in 2009, but since the original label has gone bankrupt, Speed Of Sound now caters the demand for this unique endeavor: Majestic, symphonic compositions meet pounding beats and metal-style vocals for a yet-unheard-of distinctly dark mixture. The bpm vary between 85 and 960, so you better duck for cover when the tempest breaks loose.
„Eternity“, „A Winternight Tale“ or „When all is said and done“ – with it’s ethereal female vocals by Nola Darxley – appeal to the gothic-minded, with slower martial industrial style beats, and the German language track „Die Zeit“ seems almost tailored for the EBM/cybergoth crowd. But then there’s also the hyperspeed beats of „Apocalyptic Primordial Call“, “Into the Darkness” or „Testament (New)“, which tap into the speedcore consciousness more strongly. Additional remixes by Infra Black and Jensen’s long-term collaborator Lowtek supply even more dance floor appeal.
“Fallen Stars” is an almost Wagnerian epic, suited for home listening, indulging in dark thoughts as well as providing a good score of DJ food. The vocal style and the combination of musical elements prove unique and timeless, so this album is as newsworthy as it was at the time of its original release!
