about

After their considerably faster-than-average EP earlier this year, TPROE return with an album more in their classic sound on the verge of rhythm noise and industrial hardcore. Eleven tracks that never tire in their energetic drive; combining the gritty, repetitive sound aesthetics made popular by the German industrial acts with a strictly straight bass drum sound clearly revealing their hardcore heritage, all in a quality up-to-date production that leaves nothing to be desired.

The ride begins with the wind-swept wasteland conjured up by the opener “Uzumaki” at pounding 130 bpm, and encompasses more classically rhythm noise tracks like the self-explanatory “Krach” or “Bigger Beat” as well as those with a distinctly technoid swagger, like “Master Noise”. On the course to oblivion, they also throw in occasional canyon-deep breaks and speech samples (“Dark Vortex”) for good measure, and the speed increases impalpably but relentlessly, culminating in the noisy onslaught of “Eat Dirt” or “Mask of Sanity” and the 170+ bpm sound collage “Overlord” concluding the album.
Surely not on the course to oblivion are TPROE, this album will much rather increase their fan base in the different camps attracted!
